I used to have an extensive LiveJournal, something like 930 entries. It was full of depressive wallowing and supportive comments from friends. I feel like I’m past that part of my life now (finally), so I friends-only-ed it. I didn’t wanna delete it all, for sure (it’s a very significant part of my past), but at least now most people can’t read it.
This is also part of an attempt to get my given name off of the internet. Companies are now starting to google their employees and prospective employees as background checks. I don’t want them to see me swearing about getting dumped or writing about wanting to come in a girl’s hair.
I actually paid LJ three bucks for this service, which is a bit annoying, but otherwise I’d have had to go through every entry individually and friends-only-ed them, which would have taken… probably hours. Granted, my time isn’t worth that much monetarily. But still.
…
Now I’ve gotta shower before I go get a free dental cleaning. Later I’m going to add a bunch of links, and hopefully this evening do a lot of writing on Asplode!

I had not known that companies were googling their employees and prospective employees. Thanks for the heads up.
Now I have to wonder if there’s anything compromising in the past two or three years that I’ve been blogging. Herrrrrm.
